Philippine Olympics 20??

My sister and I were watching Discovery Channel last Sunday. They had this documentary about the construction of Beijing's airport--supposed to be the world's largest airport.

As probably everyone knows, Beijing Olympics 2008 will be inaugurated on the auspicious 08/08/08.

The Chinese people are racing to finish the construction in time for the Olympics. China was informed like 7 years before that they have won the bid for the hosting of the games.

So I guess that is sufficient time for them to make the necessary constructions, improvements, campaigns, etc.

They had this no spitting campaign thing going which I mentioned in my blog earlier.

Anyway, my sister said--if the Philippines is ambitioning to host the Olympics, the Olympics committee should inform us like 20 years before the event.

Ah-huh. That long. There are so many things to do IF we get to host the games in the future.

Anyway, Discovery Channel was listing down the many problems China is encountering during the construction duration. Well, I think DC has a way of exaggerating things--always.

But still, you know if we do get to host the Olympics, that would be really cool for the country.

Just inform us 20 years before.
