Recurring Dreams

Lately, I have been having this similar-themed dreams. I keep seeing people I have not seen in months' time.

I know it is a dream, and I can just wake up anytime. But I still feel worried [in my sleep] whenever I did something wrong.

Like for example, last night, I "vandalized" a friend's science book. I kept delaying returning it to her, because I know she is very neat with her belongings. The weird thing is, I seem to have this power to go back in time, so I can change not vandalizing her book. It is like a lucid dream where I can control its outcome.

Everything feels very real, but I am fully aware that it is a dream.

They say dreams are the products of our subconscious being. Or we dream about stuffs that keep our conscious minds occupied during the day.

I do not believe that there is an associated symbol meaning for every dream in the word. Like if you dreamed of a rose it means love or whatever or something like that.

But what about recurring dreams or nightmares?

Have you had any weird dreams recently?

  5. We dream everynight actually. It's a matter of only whether we remember it or not. I don't remember my dream most of the time :)

  11. Lucid dreaming! Envy envy~~~ I also want to do lucid dreaming!!!!
In my dreams, I want to be rich, powerful and fulfill all my desires!!

Yea, I do not believe in associated symbol meaning in dreams too.

  12. Dream is something hard to explain, if I have a choice, I want sweet dreams, but most of time I have chaotic dreams, dunno what are that, shall learn how to 'rewrite' all my dreams to sweet one

  13. yea.. I experienced before. I was running away to save my own life. When i woke up, i can feel my palpitation, i can really feel the heat beat.

But i dont think is symbolize anything in future.

  14. kailoon: Yeah, it is kind of weird to suddenly be thinking about someone else in the past.

But I think my memory was triggered by something. I wonder what triggered mine...

princess eileen: Think less...ooohhh...I can't. Always full of stress during the day. But I like to dream! Happy dreams that is. :D Did you have a dream that became real?

keeyit: You're like Princess Eileen! :P I think dreams can help you rest--like they free your mind.

ehon: Your dreams must be very tiring then! You wake up and then become very tired already!

angel: Yeah~ There are instances though that you can still remember the whole dream. One time, I had a nightmare. All the time, I was thinking, oh this nightmare could be a good horror movie script, hehehehe...But when I woke up, the dream seemed very silly.

joyfulchicken: Hmmm...techniques...well, before I sleep, I think of something I want to dream about, then lucid dreaming comes naturally. It's like I am half asleep and half awake, and I can wake up anytime.

edward: Think about those beautiful girls before you fall asleep. Hehehehehe...I hope that helps!

cometh: That's so scary!!! So do you still remember the aliens' faces? You could be rich~ hehehehehehe, making your comic book or something. :P

levian: Tsk, tsk, Cometh! I heard that if you ate a lot before sleeping it can cause nightmares~~

adyla: I have a sort of imaginary friend too! :D I don't think it's weird. Just that it doesn't get in the way of your lifestyle. :)

3point8: Oh, nothing to envy~~ But probably if you think about your desires before you sleep, you might just experience lucid dreaming too! :D

monkeywong: Dreams are very mysterious. Chaotic dreams...yikes~~that's harsh~~

johnny: I especially don't like those dreams where I am falling. I can really feel the falling thing, but it is hard to wake up.

  15. You can wake up anytime? Unfair! That's exactly what I need :-(

  16. joyfulchicken: Ooohhh...I'm sorry~~ Maybe if you really think hard enough, you can just wake up when the dream gets really bad.

Or in my case, sometimes I am just too tired to wake up, so I reassure myself that this is just one of those dreams then I control the outcome. :D

  17. i dream almost every night..

  18. kaklong: I think we always dream, but we just don't notice it. :D I wish to remember my dreams everytime. :)
